The American Red Cross has provided disaster relief to a family of one adult and one child that was displaced after a tree fell on their home Saturday evening in Ridgeland.
The tree falling shorted out all the power to the home and damaged the roof.
The Red Cross was not notified until two days after the incident because the family was staying with a relative that lived nearby their home. The Red Cross has provided the family with lodging, comfort kits with personal hygiene items and referrals to four local agencies.?
