This phone is not intended for emerging markets with this nano sim card slot...
I think it is to replace the iPhone 4S as the cheapest model once the iPhone 5S or 6 is out, since the 4S doesn't have a 4 inch screen, doesn't have the hardware to offer airdrop, doesn't have the lightning connector, ...
The iPhone 4S is 'the old generation' iPhones. I think Apple created this phone to make the transition to the newer generation quicker.
If my assumptions turn out to be correct though, that means it's going to hurt people with the 4S a lot...

Ted, I think those colors will appeal, mainly to chicks but the bottom line is revenue. I'd love a cool blue iPhone, or a red one to be honest. White and black phones are cool, but boring to look at now bro.
