Louisville-based Humana (NYSE: HUM) offers health care, insurance and wellness services across the country.
Comprehensive Care Corp. has signed a contract with Humana Health Plans of California Inc. to provide Medicare-covered behavioral health services in selected counties in Humana's California market.
Humana Health Plans of California is a unit of health benefits and health care giant Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), which is based in Louisville. Humana provides Medicare Advantage Plans, prescription drug plans and supplemental plans for Medicare recipients in both Southern and Northern California.
As the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported, CompCare (OTCBB: CHCR), headquartered in Tampa, Fla., provides behavioral health, substance abuse and pharmacy management services for managed care companies throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
Financial details were not released in a statement announcing the deal. The statement also did not detail how many insured persons CompCare would serve or which counties are covered by the contract.
